Roxul Rigid Mineral Wool Panels have a 2" thickness and 8# density and come in 24" x 48" sheets. Sold per box with each box containing 6 individual sheets. These sheets are generally placed on walls or ceilings and covered with acoustical fabric. 2" Thick panels provide a Noise Reduction Coefficient of 1.00 (absorbs an average of 100% of sound waves). Roxul Mineralwool also has a great fire rating and helps reduce the spread of fire by withstanding temperatures of up to 1200 degrees.
