Loofah was first used by Cleopatra, the discoverer of the essence of beauty, this time honored plant comes to you from this place of discovery. We found a farm just outside of Cairo that grows loofah and makes slippers and other loofah products that you will see through-out our web site. They are all hand crafted by generations of the farmers’ family and extended family, passing down the knowledge of growing, harvesting, and crafting marketable goods. They are made with minimally processed loofah, a light terry cloth, and natural jute sewn edging and trim to finish. The finished loofah goods still retain their complete natural attributes of texture and color, preserving the exfoliating and polishing attributes that have come to make loofah so famous.
