This design allows for instant mechanical changes in the scopes windage by positioning the rear of the scope right or left. This design is great for most standard calibers, it allows the easiest windage adjustment and is a tried and true design that has been around for years. For large magnum calibers I suggest using the Double Dovetail design. Burris Signature Rings use fiber carbon inserts between the scope tube and ring surfaces. The inserts allow four major things to be accomplished. 1. No Ring Marks. 2. They allow for machine intolerances in the receiver and bases.
