I am NOT going to proclaim that it works or doesn't work, because I've had it for over 20 years, and never hooked it up. The little screws are there and the wire is still connected, but that is all I can tell you. Please look at the pictures and understand that you are buying this item "as is" condition. The screws can be unscrewed very easily and I am sure the light bulb is removeable so please do not buy this with the purpose of giving it to a young child. Thank you.
