About Us

We became instant friends during a Womanship sailing course in 1998 and we’ve been sailing together with our husbands and families ever since. During these and other trips, we have each collected sand and shells to remember the special times.

However, despite our best intentions to the contrary, the sand always ended up in plastic water bottles jammed in boxes and the shells were lumped together in random displays throughout our homes. Eventually, we realized the sand and shells weren’t serving their original purpose – to remind us of our special times together.

So, we came up with a solution - to display our sand and shells in elegant, recycled glass bottles engraved with the location and date of our trips! And, we decided, that if we thought it was a cool idea, others might as well. So, we turned our hobby into an Earth-Friendly, internet business – Seaside Collections!
